They’ll step into a playful “shop,” using Spanish phrases and pretend money to buy real treats—making language practical and exciting! Together, we’ll explore the days of the week by creating a personalized calendar that brings their daily activities to life in Spanish. Plus, we’ll play games, do hands-on activities, and make learning fun and easy. Your child will build confidence and have a great time in a relaxed, welcoming environment.

🌟 Beginner Spanish Camp (June 9-13): A Fun and Exciting Week! 🌟

In this interactive camp, your child will learn Spanish in a welcoming home setting designed to make language fun and practical. They’ll build confidence as they practice introducing themselves, sharing their hobbies, and engaging in everyday conversations through role-playing activities.

We’ll cover numbers (1-50), days of the week, months of the year, colors, and parts of the body while introducing vowels and consonants for early reading skills. Songs, poetry, and games will make learning engaging and memorable!

Your child will also explore Latin American culture by tasting traditional foods and learning table vocabulary in Spanish. By the end of the week, they’ll confidently learn how to ask in Spanish and practice good manners—all while having fun.

Mission Adelante is an incredible organization serving a beautifully diverse community in Kansas City, KS. Matt and I had the privilege of serving there in the past, and we continue to admire their unwavering commitment, love, and dedication to this community.

One of my dreams has been to connect generous donors with organizations like Mission Adelante to provide my books to children—completely free of charge. I’m thrilled to share that this dream recently became a reality! Through the generosity of two amazing families, about 200 of my books were donated to the children at Mission Adelante.

Here’s an update from Carla at Mission Adelante:

“I wanted to share a couple of pictures from our last day of Kids Adelante, which was last Thursday. We had a royal ball as our end of trimester party. The kids had so much fun! We handed out your books as a gift at the end. The kids were able to pick a couple of books from the table…Thank you so much to you and all of those families that made this donation of books to us possible. It was a great parting gift for our second trimester of kids ESL classes. I know that the books they took home are going to further help them with their English skills.”

We will be working with students who have already mastered the basics and are ready to advance further. We will translate a poem of their choice into Spanish and analyze Psalm 23 from the Jesus Storybook Bible. This will help them expand their vocabulary, engage in meaningful discussions, and reinforce basic language skills like introducing themselves and sharing personal details.

We will focus on teaching essential communication skills, including Spanish vowels, the ABCs, numbers 1-20, basic greetings, colors, and how to share eight simple facts about themselves. Additionally, we'll learn basic table vocabulary while sitting at the table. All of this will be done in a fun, interactive way that ensures your kids have a blast while learning.
